Waywiser celebrated twenty years of The Anthony Hecht Poetry Prize at AWP 2026 in Baltimore, MD. On the panel were past winners Anna Lena Phillips Bell, Erica Dawson, Geoffrey Brock, Austin Allen, and Julia Thacker.

On Tuesday, February 24, we celebrated Anna Lena Phillips Bell’s Might Could at the Folger Shakespeare Library. Might Could launches on March 1, 2026.

On March 7, there will be a tribute to Joseph Harrison at the Association of Writers and Writing Programs (AWP) in Baltimore, MD. Harrison was the former senior editor of Waywiser Press.

Might Could, winner of the 20th Hecht Prize, has been named as one of Lit Hub’s most anticipated poetry books of 2026.
