TO WILDNESS has been longlisted for the Massachusetts Book Awards
On September 2, 2026, the Massachusetts Book Awards announced their 2026 winners!
The award recognized work published in 2025 from Massachusetts authors in the fields of poetry, fiction (adult & children’s), nonfiction, and translation. Julia Thacker’s To Wildness, winner of the 19th Anthony Hecht Poetry Prize, was longlisted for the prize. To Wildness conjures what has been lost and what remains through recipes, spells, odes and elegies. Ellen Doré Watson calls it, “wildly alive—inventive and spunky and all over the map.”
